What does your journey with Online Hearing Care look like?

At Online Hearing Care, we pride ourselves on our customer care – you will always come first. With our unique service, you won’t need to leave your house to get state-of-the-art hearing aids – everything is available online and our equipment can be posted out to you. The latest modern healthcare developments mean that seeing an audiologist face to face isn’t always necessary, even to have your hearing aids fitted.

For us to fit you with hearing aids suitable for your individual needs, first we need your hearing test results. These can either be provided by you (a report of your results obtained from elsewhere) or we can send you our unique Hearing Assessment Box. The Hearing Assessment Box will be delivered straight to your door and contains a tablet, video otoscope (a camera to assess the health of your ear drums and ear canals) alongside calibrated headphones. All you have to do is switch the tablet on, and the system will talk you through the whole process – it’s easy to complete and only takes ten to 15 minutes. We will then collect the box, for your results to be reviewed by our team.

Once we have your results, we can programme your hearing aids to suit your type of hearing loss. We then safely post your hearing aids to your home and arrange for a fitting appointment that’s convenient for you. The fitting appointment allows your dedicated audiologist to video call you, and make any fine-tuning adjustments. Your audiologist will also show you all you need to know about your hearing aids, including how to wear, clean and use them. This is all done through the ‘myPhonak’ app, which is available on Apple and Android smartphones. Simply download the app ready for your appointment and you’re all set!

After your fitting appointment, your audiologist will always be available for any support that you may need. In our experience, most people get along very well and don’t need much assistance at all. However, we always book you in for a follow up after the fitting appointment, just to check that all is going well. We will also book in an annual appointment, so that we can reassess your hearing and hearing aids after 12 months.
