An audiology office is no longer the only place where you can test your hearing. We are here to assure you that an at-home hearing test is a very viable option.
Modern technology has revolutionised a number of industries – and hearing care is no different. Devices and testing have come on leaps and bounds. Not only are hearing aids themselves much smaller and more effective, you can get them fitted without leaving your home. Exclusively with Online Hearing Care, that is.
For those without a diagnosis, we start with an intelligent online screening test. It’s free – and all you need is a computer or smartphone, pair of headphones and a quiet space. Your hearing will be tested across a range of frequencies and volumes, to determine whether you need a clinical test.
If required, you can order our advanced Hearing Assessment Box and have it delivered to your door.
Lead audiologist Shivani Verma explains more: “The kit contains a touchscreen, calibrated headphones and a video otoscope. All you have to do is switch on the screen via the side button and you’re good to go. It will guide you through instructions for capturing images of inside your ears, so we can look at your ear canal and eardrum.
“The screen will then take you onto the hearing test. Just pop the headphones on and touch the screen each time you hear a noise. It’s all done within 10-15 mins. Once finished, a courier will collect the box, then our audiologists will analyse your results, ready to discuss them with you.”
