Buying hearing aids online

Read moreYour Phonak Paradise hearing aids are exceptionally powerful tools, especially compared to some standard technology on the market. But did you know you could be getting even more out of them?
The Phonak Paradise range does some truly incredible things for its users. There are a host of intelligent automatic features, especially within more advanced models like the P70R and P90R. They can clarify speech in quiet or noisy settings, minimise feedback and wind noise, and even recognise music for richer, more balanced sounds. But, given their small, stylish form factor and the necessity to maximise battery life, they can’t do everything – at least not alone.
So, while you’ll be blown away by the Paradise range’s capabilities, you’ll be even more impressed by their performance alongside one of many accessories. Here are just a few favourites.
Phonak PartnerMic
In conditions that would challenge even those with perfect hearing, there’s no better tool than the PartnerMic. It makes one-to-one conversations entirely personal, even when surrounded by chatter or background noise.
A discreet microphone attaches to a lanyard or your partner’s clothing, on a shirt collar, lapel, or anywhere else they might find convenient. Their speech will be streamed directly into your ears via Phonak AirStream technology. Set-up and use are a real breeze. There’s a power switch on the mic itself, pairing requires just the touch of a button and only on your first use, then it will seem as though your conversation partner is speaking right next to you from anywhere within a 25m range.
Phonak RemoteControl
The Phonak RemoteControl does exactly what it says on the figurative tin. It serves as a convenient method of controlling various aspects of your Paradise hearing aids. Although the same functionality can be achieved via the MyPhonak app, the controller requires even fewer steps and can be done without being seen at all.
Thanks to three large buttons, you may be able to make changes without even removing the device from your pocket. There’s volume up and down for the simplest of adjustments, plus a change programme button – ideal for moving between different hearing environments. Once again, there’s a single power switch and the RemoteControl will automatically connect to your hearing aids after the first pairing.
Phonak TV Connector
If you experience hearing loss yourself, or live with someone who does, you’ll know one of the biggest day-to-day challenges is entertainment. Namely, television and music. These are essential parts of life that shouldn’t have to be avoided, but these sounds are often too quiet or unbearably loud for either party.
The Phonak TV Connector resolves this issue by streaming audio from any device with USB, Toslink or 3.5mm jack ports, directly into your hearing aids. This includes TVs, stereos, PCs and more. All Paradise hearing aids can connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth – the TV Connector just gives the other essential technology in your life the same potential.
You needn’t worry about quality loss. In fact, it’s likely you’ll get significantly better sound than you would when pushing a TV or set of speakers to their volume limit. The TV Connector can receive Dolby Audio™, stereo or mono audio signals. Set-up and use are as simple as plugging the device into a power supply and your TV or stereo, then syncing your hearing aids. As with other products, this requires just one button press. Multiple sets of hearing aids can be connected at once for group viewing anywhere within a 15m radius. Plus, for ultimate convenience, your hearing aids will automatically switch to your smartphone if you receive a call at any time.
